Been to Egg Harbor, Door County lately!
There is something new at Liberty Square. Vocal Artist Lauren Carley, a renowned crossover artist and vocalist, who has performed in cabarets, theaters throughout America, teams up with pianist Chris Salerno, jazz faculty at UW-Green Bay for a special repertoire of jazz and movie themes made famous by the likes of Dean Martin, Vic Damone and Connie Francis. Great show set for Sundays, July 6 and July 13 and Thursdays July 17 and July 24, 2008, at 6:00 PM. Dinner and show available. Best to call for reservations (920-868-4800).
The Birch Creek Summer Concert Series kicks off in July with Percussion and Big Band Jazz starting July 10, 2008 at the 500 seat Dutton Concert Barn. Birch Creek began with a vision to combine professional musicians with performance education in 1976. Birch Creek's unique summer music school provides talented musicians age 13-19 with advanced training and the opportunity to perform publicly alongside top music professionals. Additionally, students have numerous free public performances throughout Door County. The evening concerts are provided by the professional staff known as the Academy Band. A treat for Big Band Jazz lovers and music you just do not want to miss. Best bet is to contact Birch Creek Music Center at 920-868-3763.
See you up there and enjoy summer. Domenic
