SWC was incorportated on May 15, 1998 and is currently being run by the elected Board of Directors.  The first elected Board was voted in on September 22 at the first SWC meeting in Spring Green.  As of July 18, 1998 - 110 members had joined together with over 30,000 acres of land - over half of it forested.    Total volume of hardwood timber owned by SWC members is about 70,000,000 bf with an annual growth of over 2,000,000 bf.
