My Visit to Chicago
Chicago is quite possibly my favorite city. It is one of the most beautiful cities in America. Its lakeshore is just spectacular, and you could make a whole day out of just walking up and down it. I really enjoyed my visit to Chicago.
Navy Pier
Navy Pier is Chicago's hottest attraction. It is a wonderfull experience to visit the Pier. You can ride high in the Ferris Wheel and look out over the beautiful skyline of Chicago. You can also just walk around the Pier and visit the many wonderfull restaraunts and shops. You can go see an I-Max movie at Navy Pier's I-Max theatre. You can also see a Shakespeare play at the Pier's new Shakespeare theatre. Navy Pier was my favorite place to visit in Chicago.
Sears Tower
You can visit one of Chicago's most famous landmark, the Sears Tower. The Sears Tower is one of the worlds tallest buildings, and very famous. You can go to the top and see for miles and miles accross the city of Chicago. This was a very fun stop on my tour of Chicago.
Chicago Museums
On Chicago's Museum Campus there are four buildings. They are the Art Institute, Field Museum, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Adler Planetarium. All of these places provide a very educational and fun time.
The Art Institute houses over 300,000 works of art. Including one of the worlds finest collections of French Impressionist works with 33 paintings by Monet. They alo have one of the worlds most comprehensive collections of 20th century art, a large collection of Japanese woodblock prints, the nations finest collection of prints and drawings and one of the most extensive collections of American art anywhere.
The Field Museum is probably Chicagos most famous museum. It concerns itself with the diversity in nature and among cultures. You can learn and appreciate he world we live in after going to this museum. It is a very fun place to visit.
The Shedd Aquarium is also a world renowned museum. Inside it there is the Oceanarium which is the largest marine mammal exhibit in the world. You can see the animals from both above and below the surface, it is a wonderfull site to see.
