New York City, New York
My visit to New York City

New York City is obviously the biggest city in America, and quite possibly the most fun. I really enjoyed my visit to New York. Because of the size of the city there is a lot to do, I visited many places, but I will just tell you about my favorites.
Statue of Liberty
The best time I had in New York was when I went to the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty is one of Americas most famous landmarks. It was the first thing immigrants saw when they came to the U.S. through Ellis Island, and it is a top tourist attraction in America today.

Ellis Island

New York's main historic site is Ellis Island. When you walk into the museum you feel as if you have been transported back in time to the early 1900s as an immigrant comming to the U.S. for a better life. On the first floor you will learn a lot of interesting facts about the patterns of immigration and about the millions of people who passed through the island. Upstairs you can see what kind of things people brought with them on their long journey over the Atlantic Oceon. This museum provides a wonderful educational experience and lots of fun.
Central Park

You could make a whole day, plus much more in Central Park. It is a wonderful oasis in the middle of a very fast-paced and busy city. In this 840 acre park, you can just sit back and relax, or play fetch with your dog, or even play tennis or a number of other sports. You can start your day with an early morning jog around the reservoir, wich has been the backdrop for many movies. Then you can pay tribute to John Lennon at Strawberry Fields. You could even go on a carousel ride or visit the zoo. Another fun thing to do is skate at Wollman rink. This is just the tip of the iceberg of all the things you can do at Central Park.
