This is an unofficial fan site that shameless pirates JK Rowling's story and characters, Warner Brothers' movies, and Dan Radcliffe's good looks.

When I'm writing, I make loads of notes in the margins...oftentimes, I'll go back and read over my notes and only then will I notice how funny they sound. For example, Chapter Twelve was quite a challenge for me as I had  to convey some very complex emotions from Hermione without going overboard. Additionally, I needed Lupin to step in to comfort her. The notes for this chapter were like "try not to make Lupin sound too much like a sex offender," etc.

I try very hard to keep the characters "in character," though I'm prone to lapses, and I'm not JK Rowling, so obviously, my definition of "in character" will differ from hers! Hermione is very easy for me to write, as I've modeled Year Seven Hermione after myself (a fellow eighteen-year-old). Obviously, I'm not a prime target for the world's Darkest wizard, nor am I the secret sister of said Dark wizard's prime target, but Hermione ___________. I also had to tone down my sarcasm a bit for her.
