the Meadows field mice

Collected between November 2003 and January 2005.
In the UK, Harvey and Jess are the names for the Meadows babies, but in the US, the rare Calico Critters children are called by those same names. Anyway, I didn't like the sound of 'Jessica,' no offense if you are one, but it's not a very mousy name, but Amber seemed to fit. 'Amber waves of grain,' field mice, whatever...too much philosophy went into the naming of that mouse.
