Suffice it to say, this isn't how I expected to spend my Spring break. To make a long story short, my laptop computer decided to kick the bucket last week...the night before a MASSIVE midterm paper was due... The good news is that some truly wonderfully amazingly brilliant geeks were able to recover my story files, but my website files were lost. I'm in the process of recreating my website, so please let me know what you think of the new design. Long story short? It's been a trying week for me.
                                   Thanks for your patience!

{ updates }
3/16/2006 - Everything has been updated in some way, shape, or form, due to being remade so look around. There aren't any new chapters as I was busy putting the website back together...sorry! The next chapter will be up, pronto, but I've got about a million things to do to put my computer back the way it was!

3/8/2006 - Sarah's computer bit the dust in the middle of a crucial term paper...

3/6/06 - added the 2nd rewritten chapter!

3/4/2006 - to show how much I love you all, I wrote up an excerpt from a chapter in the distant future. IMO, it's humorous, if brief. It's Draco/Hermione -- need I say more? Well, you know the drill. It's hidden around here somewhere.

3/1/2006 - added the first re-written chapter.

{ etcetera }
When I recreated my website, I lost the 'shipping poll but fortunately I had written down the results a few days ago. Naturally, most people seem to be H/Hr shippers of some stripe or another, but I was really intrigued by how many of you ship OBHWF! Anyway, here were the results:

68% Harry/Hermione shippers
(20% of these ship Ron/Luna and Draco/Ginny, 40% Ron/Luna and Neville/Ginny, and 40% purely Harry/Hermione with no side ships)

24% Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione shippers
3% Harry/Luna, Ron/Hermione shippers
5% Other

{ disclaimer }
Clearly, this is an unofficial fan site; all characters and settings are the sole property of J. K. Rowling, resident genius of Edinburgh, Scotland. I just take them out  and promenade them up and down Hogsmeade's High Street in various unflattering accoutrements and make them leap one-legged through hoops of fire and, sometimes if the hour is right and the lacewing flies are flitting low over the guttering candlelight, I unleash them and they race off to search for Horcruxes, battle Dark Lords, graffiti Muggle overpasses, or - better yet - snog. And, yes, I am sick and bored and in a Nyquil cold elixir haze, thank you for asking! ;-)
