About Me
Just a collection of extremely random things that
pertain to me on some level or another. Pictures of my dorm,
pictures of me, pictures of my cat, quotes, random
recollections...so be afraid. Be
very afraid.

Favorite
Music Groups: Pink
Floyd, The Beatles, The Moody Blues, Simon & Garfunkel, Dr.
Demento, Collective Soul, Leahy, Green Day, and The Goo Goo
Dolls, The Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I normally listen to movie
soundtracks while I write. My favorite soundtracks are Harry
Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban, Braveheart, Gladiator, Enemy
at the Gates, Schindler's List, Glory, Phantom of the Opera, and
Titanic (hated the movie, loved the music).

Favorite Books: Memoirs of a
Geisha; 101 Damnations; Jane Eyre; Dave Barry Does Japan; Eats,
Shoots, and Leaves; Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister; Wicked;
The Darwin Awards; and many, many more. Seriously, if I'm not in
class, sleeping, or hanging out with friends, I'm reading or
writing. Erma Bombeck and Dave Barry are (or were, in Bombeck's
case) two of my favorite authors. I'm a very sarcastic person,
although I try not to write or behave sarcastically online lest
I come across as a complete jerk! Oh, and Harry Potter makes the
top of the list, of course!
Favorite Movies: Monty
Python and the Search for the Holy Grail,
Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl, Monty Python's Life of
Brian,
Monty Python's Meaning of Life (yes, I am a girl of limited
interests!), Forrest Gump, The Phantom of the Opera, Ace
Ventura, and all of the Harry Potter films.
Favorite Musicals: Wicked, Phantom
of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat, Miss Saigon
Favorite T.V. Shows:
Monty Python's Flying Circus reruns,
Everybody Loves Raymond, Gilmore Girls, The Simpsons, and Fire
Me Please! (Yes, there is finally a reality show where people
are trying to get fired. The Apprentice this is not!)
Favorite Food:
Um, candy. It's really a medical miracle that
I've reached the
age of eighteen without a single cavity, but it's only a matter
of time!
Favorite Subjects: History and
Anthropology are tops in my book. I'm most
interested in World War II and the events that preceded it. I
also love English,
German, and Psychology. On my college class blacklist are
Philosophy (gags) and Math.
Favorite Guys I'll Never Meet:
Prince William, Jake Gyllenhaal, Timothy Goebel, James and
Oliver Phelps, Dan Radcliffe, Milo Ventigmlia (?) (Jess from
Gilmore Girls)
Favorite Actors and Actresses: Jim
Carey, Robin Williams, Julia Roberts, Rupert Everett, Hugh
Grant, Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Maggie Smith,
Steve Martin, Ben Stiller, Alan Rickman, Richard Gere
Favorite Board Game: Monopoly,
Scrabble, and Clue
Favorite Holiday: Halloween or
Christmas
Favorite Travel Destinations: I've
been to the Rocky Mountains (Estes Park, Colorado area) six or
seven times and that's always fun, but my favorite spot is
probably the Acadia region of Maine, or Nova Scotia. I'd love to
go to the UK and Germany, or anywhere else in Europe really!
Favorite Sports: I love to play
tennis and billiards. I love to watch pair's figure skating and
the Olympics. I have never watched a football game all the way
through in my entire life.
Harry Potter-related
Favorite
characters: Hermione Granger and Harry Potter tie for
first, followed by Neville Longbottom, Ron Weasley, Luna
Lovegood, Minerva McGonagall, Arthur Weasley, Severus Snape,
Fred & George Weasley
Least favorite
characters: Tonks, Tonks, and Tonks! Hate her. If she
does kick the bucket or turn traitor in book seven, I'll be
mightily disappointed. The worst part of her is that I think
Rowling intended for us to like Tonks. Sorry. No.
Favorite book: That's a draw
between Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix. I prefer the
Goblet of Fire plotline, but love the characterizations of
Hermione and Harry in particular in Order of the Phoenix.
Least
favorite book: Chamber of Secrets. Half-Blood Prince is
my second least favorite as it was so hard to get "in to." I
dunno, I think the sixth book lost a lot of the charm and innate
appeal that the previous books had in spades.
Favorite Harry Potter movie:
Prisoner of Azkaban is more artistic and all, but Goblet of Fire
is funny. Newell made great use of Filch and the Weasley
twins.
Randomer and Randomer
Some pictures I've taken, some
interesting, some boring to everyone but me...
First, you should probably know
that I'm obsessed with my cat.
And here are a few more pictures,
mostly from my dorm at school...

The Sarcastic Ball = $6.50 worth of snarky fun. It, of course, would tell me that I was ripped off majorly by the manufacturers, but screw that. |

It's probably not a good idea to ask why there's a picture of a Planaria tacked to my bulletin board. |

Monty Python's Bloody Rabbit, Bush and Kerry dressed up as a cowboy and Frankenstein, and Darth Tater all on one shelf. What more could you want? |

The view ALMOST makes up for the terrible smell of hops from the brewing plant just down the street. Yes, our campus ALWAYS smells like beer. |
