The Chalet
A few weeks ago, a nearby craft store had a 90%-off going-out-of-business sale. I was lucky enough to find a wooden stable from a Christmas Nativity set, and was even luckier to pay only 89 cents for it. Granted, it was quite dirty and non-descript when I bought it, but for what can you expect for 89 cents?

Anyway, I hoped to take pictures of it before I converted it into a home for some of my Sylvanians (you know, Extreme Makeover Home Edition), but as things turned out, I never got to borrow the camera. So - here it is - completed.

Originally, the back was made of open slats, and the whole thing was dull and not varnished. Now, as you can see - it is a cozy cottage home for the Waters and Dandelion families.

Figwort relaxes in the front yard. The log pile is made of cinnamon sticks - it smells good and contains no dirt or bugs from real wooden logs from the outdoors.
