To: Sue Patscot, Homework Club Coordinator
Dear Sue,
I'm writing to thank you personally from the bottom of my heart for the work you have done with my children this year. You're an inspiration and a big part of my kids' growth. I believe that if we had more people like you in the world, it would be a better world. I love you for your effort, and I thank you and God bless you! I will always remember the smiles that you put on my children's faces.

A Letter from a Mother

This is a letter of appreciation for all the staff and tutors of Kids Club, Homework Club, Summer School, Camp Webb, and St. Andrew's Church for helping our children to learn and respect other people, keeping them out of trouble and off the streets, and for showing them right from wrong. All of my kids that do go to St. Andrew's love it there. Me and my kids really want to thank you very, very much for all of your hard work and all of your time to help my kids learn. Just keep up the good work. Katrina Sanford and Angelica Sanford went to Camp Webb, Homework Club and Eric Sangord, Kids Club. In September, we'll have one more coming to St. Andrews Church and that is Latasha Sanford.

Hi, my name is Tenise Young. I would like to tell you how my summer job was. It was something very new for me to work in a neighborhood office. I experienced working with some very nice people at Lisbon Avenue Neighborhood Development. What I learned during the six weeks was how to do a data base on the computer. When I was done at work, sometimes I would volunteer as a teacher's aid at Our Next Generation's summer school at St. Andrews.

A Letter from a Student
Summer school was very educational because it was just like being in social studies class. But our teachers this summer are much nicer than the ones at school.
At
summer school we learned about the people of China, like how they dress,
what they eat, and what kind of religion they are, and even more. We studied
the same things for people from Africa and Mexico.
Summer school lasted for three weeks for my age group. On the third Thursday, we had a contest between the two classes to see how much everyone remembered about China, Mexico and Africa. The contest was very easy!
I think summer school should be every year when we get out of school for summer because I think it keeps kids and teenagers out of trouble. Thank you to our special teachers!
