Many of you may have read
the Archives Survey 2001, a semi-scientific survey compiled from over 320
Internet respondents. If you haven't, click HERE,
and check it out. As editor and site manager of the DC Archives Resource,
I take it upon myself to make the following editorial pitch for what *I*
want for DC Archives in the year 2002. These selections are a mixture of
what I personally would like to have, characters I think are overlooked
and the existing lines I would like to see DC continue to support.
I would like DC to committ to 12 Archive Editions in the year 2001. With sources like SilverAgeComics.com, Archive editions are available at steep discounts (currently $35), meaning one can be had for about the cost of 10 regular comics. I, and I think others of my "vintage" can afford that with little difficulty. Releasing one Archive/month, I would plot out the following year for DC Comics:
January 2001 - Wonder Woman Archives #3
February 2001 - Dr. Fate Archives #1
March 2001 - Silver Age Aquaman Archives #1
April 2001 - Golden Age Green Lantern Archives #2
May 2001 - Doom Patrol Archives #1
June 2001 - Golden Age Flash Archives #2
July 2001 - Justice League of America Archives #8
August 2001 - The Silver Age Flash Archives #3
September 2001 - The Dark Knight Archives #4
October 2001 - Legion of Super-Heroes Archives #12
November 2001 - All-Star Archives #8
December 2001 - Silver Age Hawkman Archives #2
