The absolute first, best place to look on the Internet is rec.arts.comics.marketplace. To find this, consult your server. From educational accounts, this is done using a news reader such as NNTP or tin. You SysAdmin will know how to point you to this newsgroup. If your server doesn't provide access to newsgroups, get a new server! You're missing half the fun!
Many people experience trepidation at the thought of the anonymous Internet but this fear is unwarranted. I have been dealing on the 'net for several years and have never been burned. You need two tools to get started. First and foremost is the rec.arts.comics.marketplace FAQ, or Frequently Asked Questions. This can be found HERE. I have added to this in a file that summarizes the lessons I have learned in dealing on the 'net. This is smaller set of information and thus termed a FAQUETTE.
