Archived Status and Pictures of Malina Renee Olsen.
Current Status
June 13, 1999 - Malina is now 23 months old.
Her second birthday is June 26.
Malina is talking very well, including full sentences. She's working on the correct
use of the words "you" and "me" in relation to herself (a difficult
concept where, for example, Mama is "me" to Mama but "you" to Malina,
and Malina is "me" to Malina, but everyone keeps calling her
"you". Hm). She's running, climbing, going down playground slides by
herself, and getting much more capable in many areas. She still loves to have
someone read a book with her, and this is a daily event at least, without fail.
Pictures
At Frame Park in Waukesha, Malina has been boldly going many places on the playground equipment, including the rig designed for people much older than she is.
A favorite treat, out for lunch with Mama, Daddy, and Grandpa and Grammy Ramstack at New China Buffet.
Mmmmmm mphrrft! Noodles.
Malina is done eating, so she'd rather hang out on Daddy's lap instead of in her own chair. Being next to Grammy is good too!
Malina knows what to do when someone points a camera her way.
Smile! Really big!
In the back yard - a nice, shirtsleeve day in March.
At the Tampa, FL Zoo, nearly worn out after a long hot day, Malina takes the chance to sit on an elephant.
Statue.
Back, Grandma! No more tickling!
Work, work work. Pretty soon you'll have me shoveling too, right?
This was Mom's (Charlene's) little corduroy dress that her sisters also wore, and Grandma Wallace saved.
Fun time! After the big snow in January, we cut a slide into the snowbank next to our front sidewalk.
Our Ayyám-i-Há tree, and Malina's favorite - the magnetic paper-clip holder.
Vacation time: Ready for cruising at Uncle Doug and Aunt Haydee's back yard in Florida.
At Ft. Myers Beach, chasing waves with Dad and Mom while Grandma and Grandpa Wallace watch.
A large ostrich watches us leaving the Octagon, a wild animal rehab park near Punta Gorda, FL, our last stop with Grandma and Grandpa.
