The W. D. McCoy Co. manufactures Conformal Powder
Coating machinery and a specialty line of internal halyard winches.
We design and build several different lines of conformal coating equipment
that handle different types of parts and various rates of production. Many
of our customers are companies in the electronic component manufacturing
industry.

ALPHA line
- The ALPHA line is used to coat high volumes of axial leaded
parts. The parts are carried through the active coating area by a pair
of stainless steel toothed bands
|
|
-
- The BETA line is designed to coat radial leaded parts.
The BETA line is comprised of:
- Mini-BETA
- A bench-top unit for very low quantities, typically used for prototyping
and testing. Parts are manually dipped, usually one at a time. Can be used
to coat any kind of part that allows simple immersion dipping.
- BETA 12
- A larger bench-top unit for low volume production. Parts are loaded
into a 14" strip rack and processed together, one strip at a time.
It has separate heating stations.
- BETA 550
- A self-contained floor standing unit, the 550 uses multi-strip racks
and is semi-automatic, processing one manually loaded rack at a time. Intended
for low to medium volume production
- BETA 950
- The 950 is a much larger self-contained floor standing unit. It uses
larger racks than the 550, and handles a much higher production volume.
The standard 950 overlaps three separate processing steps so that up to
three racks of parts can be in process at any given moment.

- DELTA line:
- The DELTA line is designed to coat high volumes of
radial leaded parts. The parts are carried as a continuous strip of parts
or as multiple short strips of parts; for example, pre-mounted on cardboard
strips.
