They were living only a few households away from John Dake's father-in-law, Joseph McGuire, who had a 15 year old daughter, Drusilla, whom William will marry in 1852. The 1860 Iowa census lists William's birthplace as Virginia. The 1870 Missouri census lists William's birthplace as Ohio. The 1880 Missouri census lists William's birthplace as Ohio. Dake, age 36, son of William and Mary A. (Perry)(Reser) Dake, is living in Brush Creek Twp [Actually Clark Twp], Wright Co., MO according to the 1910 census. He is married to Sarah C. (?) age 35 and their children are: son Ralph R. age 16 (born in MO), daughter Nellie E. age 14 (born in MO), son Virgil A. age 12 (born in MO), son Clyde E. age 8 (born in MO), and son Claud L. age 6 (born in MO). NOTE: The Census had an error in printing and Perry is believed to have been in Clark Township instead of Brush Brush Creek Twp. 1910 Dake Genealogy: William Dake has disappeared from all records. Probably died after March 22, 1907.
