Credit Where Credit is Due
This information appears on the home page, but it bears repeating...

This kit is an update to the ModelArt Spitfire MK II (I believe) kit designed by Dr. Emil Zarkov.

Please note that without the consent of Dr. Zarkov, this version of the Spitfire kit would not be published here for all of us to enjoy. He is responsible for the majority of the engineering.

Many thanks to Dr. Zarkov.

Several excellent kits are offered by the ModelArt company. I highly recommend them all. They are available through Moshe Lemer at ML Card Models.

Color and Markings
Color and marking depicts an aircraft flown by No. 682 Squadron, Italia, early 1945. A 1/72 scale injection molded Fujimi kit ("Blue Invader", kit No. 9JA4SA) was used for reference. The markings on this aircraft are very similar to the aircraft currently owned and operated by the Rolls Royce Corporation, and the one in the Swedish Air Force Museum collection.

This color scheme complements the elegant lines of the aircraft (IMHO).
