Caught lottsa fish at Tinkers Place !
Northern, Walleye, Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch and a few Muskies!
Nothing for the 'trophy' room this
year however! :-(
We fished for 4 days, and did a 'fly-in' to a different
lake each day. A
guide was included. He did the usual... including fixing
'shore lunches'
for us each day... One day it was VERY interesting having
lunch... for
it was raining pretty good,,,,, but I have to hand it to the
guide,,,,,,
HE FED US!!! And as you know there ain't NOTHING like
fresh caught
fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!
Unlike the trip we took in upper Manitoba,
back in the mid 80's, we
had to THROW BACK the big ones. example,,,, Brandon caught a
'nice'
smallmouth of 16 ". The conservatory law says
"ALL OVER 14" MUST BE PUT
BACK"!!!! And I'll tell you,,,, they DO mean business!
We were #$%$#@!!!!!!! to say the
least.... (but you can understand,, that if EVERYONE caught and kept the big ones,,,,
the lake(s) would have been depleted by now!)
They have this thing now where you take a PICTURE of the
fish you want
to have mounted, and the taxidermist 'constructs' a model
according to
the picture!!! can you believe that???!!!!!
Well,,,, we didn't catch any that were worthy
of mounting,,,,, maybe
next time!
but ONE think I can say,,,,, we "DID" bring
back our limit!!!!!
Hey,,,,,,,, You KNOW the 'brothers' were going to bring some
fish
back!!!!!! :-)
Of the 4 days, the slow day, we only
caught a total of 6 fish!
Tony is having some pixs developed,,, I'll let
you know
when I get them. Here are just some that Brandon and I
took.
We were at LAKE OF THE WOODS, in
a place called Nester Falls
Ontario, which is ~ 1 hr
drive north of Int'l Falls Minn., across the canadian border.
I have included a little background for each of the pictures
posted....
