Calico Field SpanielsText Box: Obedience

This is where most of the Calico Field Spaniels start toward performance competition. Obedience training gives a solid foundation for communicating with your Field Spaniel so that your dog may comply with commands such as “Come,” “Sit,” “Down,” and so forth. Obedience competition was originally envisioned as a way for purebred dogs to show their

general usefulness to humans. Since the inception of obedience competition in the AKC show rings, the sport has grown and is now a major past time for many dog fanciers.
