Mission Statement
To preserve the Duluth Armory and its historic value to
American culture and the arts, while encouraging its re-use, placing emphasis
on arts education.
Goals

Promotion of American culture.

military history of the structure.

Establishment of a community focus for the East
Hillside/Endion neighborhoods.

Commemoration of Buddy Holly's performance at the Armory
and Bob Dylan's emergence as a musical icon.

when I
was about 16 or 17 years old, I went to see Buddy Holly play at Duluth National Guard Armory, and I was three seats away from him, and he looked
at me and,
I know he was with us all the time we were making this record
in some kind of way. Bob Dylan (Accepting the 1998 Grammy for Album of the
Year, Bob Dylan brought the Duluth Armory to international attention.)
On the shores of Lake Superior, the 120,000
sq. ft. Armory houses 2 large performance stages including the one where Buddy
Holly inspired Duluths native son, Bob Dylan. With your contribution the

non-profit, tax-exempt corporation has already secured $4 Million in historic
and new-market tax credits for this project.
