I was born in June, 1954 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin. After living in several towns in Wisconsin, at age 4 my parents, Ed and Vione settled in Spring Green, a small town in south western WI. I attended Spring Green elementary school, and graduated from River Valley High School in 1972.

After high school, I attended Milwaukee Area Technical College where I earned an AAS in Photography and an AAS in Photographic Instrumentation. While attending college, I began working part time at Photoart Visual Service (later called Helix/Photoart). This "part time job" turned into a 26 year full time job. I became the purchasing agent, and eventually the store manager. I saddens me to know that Photoart has since closed it's doors.

In 1997, I left Photoart and went to work at the University of Wisconsin Housing Division, as a Purchasing Agent. I had moved from Milwaukee to Stoughton in 1996. My job at the University lasted two years, before the "politics" became too much for me to handle. During this time period, I met Brenda (see our "about us"page for that story), and moved to Janesville.

After I quit my job at the University, I spent the next 11 months looking for work. Thankfully Bren was employed! I became a very good "house husband", and decided that I will really enjoy retirement! I am currently working for Peca Products in Janesville.

I have many hobbys which include gardening (something I really miss as we live in an apartment now), cooking, working with and on computers, fishing, camping, reading and chatting with our several close friends on line.

This is the year (2004) that Dave will turn the big
"50". His beard is longer and greyer now,
but he is a young "almost 50" year old.
