"I need another project like a buffalo needs a bass boat."

Last Update:  7/13/2007

NEW PROJECTS COMING!!!   As the chopper is wrapped-up, I find myself with the prospect of nothing to do.  I got the idea for this next project on a small scale over the Memorial Day weekend.  As I've read books and met other people who have built what I have in mind, I raised the stakes.  This next project will probably be a bit more practical than the two wheeled casket.  Check back here before August -- I'll be ready to announce the next big thing....

This site is has been up for over 6 years, and I've shared a lot of projects and collections, but almost nothing since late 2002.  Since that time, I've built 3 blackpowder handguns, purchased another bazillion large coffee mills, restored 6 or 8 pieces of American furniture, did a full 1941 Farmall H tractor restoration, and endless hours of other stuff.  My latest project is "the two wheeled casket."

I have a very large collection of American coffee mills (hundreds).  I've recently begun the process of photographing them.  If you check in here once and a while, you'll see more and more updates.  I'll also add sections to discuss techniques for removing rust, damage, replacing parts, building parts, resources for mill collectors, and painting.

See my most recent project:  A 150 horsepower custom chopper with a 330 rear tire!  Updated January, 2007
