Assembling the wings
Back to the RV-9A Main Page
Finally starting to rivet things together after months of preparation. I had virtually all of the wing parts match-drilled, deburred, dimpled, countersunk, cleaned, etched, alodined and primed before starting any permanent assembly. It takes a lot of clecos to do this on both wings, but I thought that it would be the most efficient way of doing things.
Outboard leading edges being installed on spars.
Tanks have been installed. Top skins are clecoed and ready for riveting. The outboard leading edges have been modified for the Duckworths landing lights.
