Grandma's Patchwork Quilt
a musical program for kids to grow on
Larry Penn is a gravely-voiced folk singer, acclaimed songwriter, mesmerizing story teller, retired truck driver, toy maker, railroad buff, and Grandfather. He is the author of several well known and loved children's songs. "Grandma's Patchwork Quilt", which celebrates the cultural diversity of the United States, has earned inclusion in Macmillian / MaGraw-Hill's Series - Reading and Language Arts in 1993. Penn's simple, yet direct writing style has gained him a warm following of kids, parents, and teachers.
Another of Larry's favorite and most often recorded songs, "I'm a Little Cookie" teaches children of all ages a new attitude toward people with disabilities. His programs for students open new horizons, as he celebrates America's culture, technology, and workers in an amazing array of well crafted songs for kids.

Winner of the 1993 WAMI
(Wisconsin Area Music Industry)
Award for Best Children's Artist
