Packing before leaving for SF

OK, so I look really unhappy here. And, yeah, I'm pudgy!

A close up view of what was...

Binding, for one of the last times. Almost on the way out the door to get on the plane to SF.

Now, check out this blissed out pix!!! In the recovery room at the surgical center at Mount Zion in San Francisco. Probably just totally blissed out on the drugs they had pumped into me... but nonetheless, still VERY happy!

Several hours after surgery. Resting and "draining" in the Ramada Inn Hotel room.

2 days after surgery. Feeling spry... still draining. Can you tell I'm still happy??

Not to show anything gross or anything, but... I had a bit of a leakage problem on the left side. All the blood seemed to ooze out around the drain, rather than through it. Oh well. Dr. Brownstein looked at the drain and everything seemed to be in place ok. This is, I think 4 days post op.

10 days post op.

Back at home in Wisconsin, changing the gauze pads over the nipple grafts. Still happy! Photo taken 13 days after surgery.

Dr. Brownstein left a suture through my nipple piercing. After the nipple graft healed, I inserted a length of monofilament. After further healing, I inserted metal piercing jewelry. The "moist" appearance is neosporin (not an infection).

This is 2 months post-op.

These are all close up photos of the scars remaining after 2 years of healing. As you can tell, the incision scars have healed to pencil-fine lines.
This photo was taken 2 years after surgery.
