Axyl

Axyl, which is really Axyl Rose, is my daughter Corrie's Golden...He is 1 week younger than Jamie, they grew up together. His photo with Jamie is in my photo albums. Becky did this lovely portrait of him for Corrie

Angie

Angie (8-1981/ 12-1991) Born in Ohio on a farm by the Ohio River, Angie was our first doberman. She was with us through layoffs, transfers and my husband's stint in the Air Force. She lived with us at 7 addresses in Ohio, Kentucky, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama. She was the most intelligent dog I have ever known, recognizing over 50 words and commands. Angie had one litter and several of her pups went to people in the family. Facing another imminent transfer across the country and with her health declining, we were forced to put her to rest in December, 1991.

Kikko

Kikko (8-1983/ 11-1989)Also born in Ohio, Angie's daughter Kikko was a playbaby and a champion frisbee catcher. She also loved to sleep and would generate great "love waves" of good feeling when she slept with you. She was on the heavy side and very adept at swimming into lakes and ponds after sticks. From a very early age she was psychic and often did what I wanted in response to a simple thought. She was tragically killed by a car in Alabama at the age of 6, a loss that we still feel today.

Tucker

Tucker (9-1989/ 5-1996) We found Tucker near Birmingham Alabama two days after Kikko's death. Like Kikko, he loved to play and became very adept at the frisbee. He also learned to retrieve the paper, a skill we found useful after moving back north to snowy Maryland. He was completely dedicated to me and followed me around the house constantly, sleeping on the floor at night by our bed. Unfortunately, being male, Tucker was rather a "bonehead" and we were never able to teach him some things, like not to pull on a leash and not to pee on the deck or the couch or certain visitors. Tucker died unexpectedly at the age of 7 1/2 of cardiomyopia while being boarded at a vet kennel in Maryland.
