Loss of Use coverage will provide you with payment for additional living expenses should your home become unlivable due to a loss covered by the policy.
This would include the cost of a motel or apartment you may have to rent until such time as your home is repaired or payment is made for the value of your home if it cannot be repaired.
If your home is a two family dwelling, the policy will also pay you the Fair Rental Value of that portion of the home rented to others until such time it is repaired and is fit to be occupied.
This coverage assures you that should a major loss, such as a fire, occur your family will be able to obtain temporary living quarters until your home is again fit to live in.
