Ask Your Dentist...

Aging and tooth loss not synonymous

Good news for baby boomers: as you age, you do not have to lose your teeth. To maintain that healthy smile, be sure to schedule regular dental visits. Use a flouride toothpaste and ask your dentist about flouride rinses and gels. Remember, as you age, decay is most likely to form near old fillings or where root surfaces are left unprotected be receding gums. Daily flossing not only helps prevent gum disease, it also helps to control mouth odors.

However, if you are interested in improving your smile, your dentist can explain the many options available to you: tooth bonding, crowns, tooth bleaching, orthodontics, and dental implants.
