| Suffering from torpedo and bomb damage, the U.S.S. California lists to port and is aflame and smoking heavily. Drifting fuel oil aflame from the U.S.S. West Virgina and the U.S.S. Arizona, will soon engulf the California. The men with rifles in the lower | left hand portion of the picture are believed to be watching from the Headquarters Building on Ford Island. The California will eventually settle upright on to the muddy bottom of Pearl Harbor. |
