Specialty Cars
Omaha had many specialty cars like cranes, Rotary snow plows, and even gas powered doodlebugs.
Girder crane for building bridges had something that you don't think of every day. It's own tender was attached to fuel the steam engine in the crane. This combo was more than likely very common, just not photographed very much. Cranes are available through flyer for heavy duty service. The one shown could come from a maintenance car that usually was sold to use with with an AF heavy duty crane.
