These activities will fit best into:
Spanish 2: Chapters 6 and 10 Regular
and Irregular Preterite and
PREPARATION PHASE: Spanish 1: The students will use the Paso a Paso 1 textbook, workbooks and video to learn about Greetings and basic information questions. When we are in the computer lab, before they start, I will demonstrate on the overhead where to access the interactive Web pages and how to use them. *** I will have to remind the students that in order to get back to my BASE PAGE after they get into QUIA activities or the BBC activities, they will have to either click the BACK button or use the GO (using Netscape at our school) on the top bar and scroll down to my BASE PAGE!!! Spanish 2: The students will use the Paso
a Paso 2 textbook, workbooks and video to learn about the Irregular
Commands and the Preterite. When we are in the computer lab,
before they start, I will demonstrate on the overhead where to access the
interactive Web pages and how to use them.
EXECUTION PHASE: In the IMC
Spanish 2: Same as above.
EXPANSION PHASE:
Spanish 1: The students will create, write, memorize and practice a Greeting Dialogue in small groups of 3 or 4 people in the regular classroom. They will perform it the next day for the class. Spanish 2: Same as above but they will
either PERFORM the “Day-O” Irregular Command Verb Song with Props they
create (poster signs, drawings, costumes).
ASSESSMENT: For the on-line Video Clips, see below. For the PERFORMANCE expansion activity dialogues
or songs I will create a RUBRIC based on:
