Discussion
Kevin Cook discussed some of the shortcomings of WinMediaPlayer
with regard to DVD's.
Gary Köhler showed some of the features of the Knoppix,
a Linux distribution on a live CD-ROM using John Schwarzmeier's

programs from the CD, but had problems with detecting digital cameras and

a good candidate Word document in order to demonstrate
OpenOffice. Was successful only after most people left.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:08 pm.

A somewhat more informal than usual meeting was held.
Much of the discussion centered around this year's GameCon which
netted our treasury $202.75, which will be most helpful in the year ahead.
Scott Brunkow's computer seems to have acquired a virus,
miscellaneous files seem to disappear at random.
Scott briefly showed us an implementation of Niklaus Wirth's
Oberon operating system, however it does not seem to be fully functional.
