Titanic On-Line
With all the interest in RMS Titanic a large number of sites have popped up to feed the frenzy. Below are a few of the best that I have found.
www.titanicmovie.com
This is of course the Titanic movie web site. Lots of interesting stuff on making the movie.
www.titanic-online.com
This is the web site of RMS Titanic Inc. the company that holds salvage rights to the wreck. Good shots of the wreck, photos of some of the artifacts recovered, information on the special deep submergence subs and you can buy a piece of coal recovered from the Titanic!
http://miso.wwa.com/~dsp/titanic/
The IN MEMORIAM: TITANIC web site has the best and most complete information about the Titanic's entire history from conception, design, building, the engines, the disaster, to the books and the films about her.
www.lib.virginia.edu/cataloging/vmp/titpref.html
This University of Virginia site has newspaper accounts of the Titanic sinking. Worth reading, if only to sample the highly inaccurate first reports from the high period of yellow journalism.
http://powerup.com.au/~dconty//product.html
Yes folks, you can buy Titanic beer and since it is from an Australian brewer it probably is quite heady stuff.
