AKC Conformation
All regular dog and veteran dog classes.
Conformation Judge - Denise Barley
Denise lives with her husband Chris near Inverness in the Highlands of Scotland, UK.
They got their first Beardie in 1976. They were keen mountaineers, and Denise trained and
worked her first three Beardies as Search and Rescue dogs. In the 80's, she competed
regularly in Obedience, Agility, Working Trials and Conformation, as well as being committed to
search and rescue work. Nowadays, Denise restricts herself to conformation.
She has eight Beardies in residence, two of them UK champions. She has judged the Bearded
Collie Championship Shows in England, Norway, Holland and Sweden, and judges the Pastoral group

Auction
The auction is always one of the highlights of the National Specialty. This is
your chance to get those really unique Beardie items that you might never find anywhere else.
The overall financial success of a BCCA Specialty is largely dependent on the proceeds from the
Auction. And if the Specialty is financially successful, the BCCA benefits, and Rescue, too.
Twenty-five percent (25%) of the Auction's proceeds are set aside to support Rescue. So
please help make this year's Auction a success by contributing one, two or more items.
Anything and everything will be appreciated. And, of course, we need to have bidders at the
Auction to take home all the treasurers. There should be something of interest to everyone
and every size wallet or pocket book.
Please send your Auction items to Chris Walkowicz at the address below or bring them with you
should that be more convenient. If you intend to bring Auction items to the Specialty,
please send Chris W. a brief written description of the items at least a month prior to the
Specialty so that they can be cataloged in advance for the Auction.
