| On November 1, 1997, at Yoshi's nightclub in Oakland
California I was fortunate to witness a memorable evening of blues. Snooky Pryor, Hubert
Sumlin, Henry Gray, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Calvin "Fuzz" Jones, and
John Brim were the scheduled artists. I would have been satisfied to see a set by as great
of a lineup as that, but as luck would have it, there was more. Our first hint came when
my friend "Lawrence" noticed Joe Louis Walker standing outside the club. |

the left. Wavy Gravy can be seen to the right, and former Jimmy Rogers band keyboardist
Dave Krull can be seen to Wavy's left. Krull played on a number of tunes throughout the
night. |
| Later in the evening Elvin Bishop joined
Snooky Pryor, John Brim and Calvin Jones on some numbers. |
