| Luther unexpectedly passed away
June 18, 1993 at age 57, after suffering a heart attack. I was fortunate to attend a
benefit that was held at Slim's in San Francisco on June 28, 1993. Artists performing at
the tribute included Boz Scaggs, Elvin Bishop, Mark Naftalin, Duke Jethro, Francis Clay,
Freddie Roulette, Billy Boy Arnold, Richard Cousins, Joe Louis Walker, Bobby Murray,
Frankie Lee and more, with many other friends and fellow performers in attendance. For
