Well it's come a long way in the last six weeks. First problem I ran into after installing the grill was the radiator wouldn't go in without hitting the fan. I couldn't pull the tub forward or the firewall would hit the valve cover. Mikey saved me on this one, he recommended dual elec. Flex fans. Ordered the fans from 4WD and they were delivered within a couple days. Real easy install and it leaves me with 3/4 inch clearance between fans and water pump pulley. Cut the driver side out of a steel firewall plate and attached it to the glass one. Just to help reinforce it. Cut all the holes in the firewall. Cleaned up the steering column and installed a new mounting plate I got from George's Jeeps. Painted same. Installed emerg. brake pedal, brake pedal, clutch pedal and steering column with no problems. Had to melt the two pins in the steering shaft and lengthen it about 3/4 of an inch. Installed the brake booster. The link between the brake pedal and booster was about 7/8 of an inch too short. Cut the link in half and threaded both ends and added a coupling and lock nuts. That worked out pretty well.Connected up the clutch linkage and adjusted. Put on master cylinder, filled and bled brakes. Put on the wheels and tires. Connected all coolant hoses and filled system. Did a loose fit of the front fenders, pulled them off and on them mounted the coolant overflow tank, washer resiv. and tank vent canister. Did the final install of the fenders.
