When most people think of Swiss type parts they picture very small parts with long turns. Although that is what we specialize in, the truth is many of the same parts that are made on a cam type screw machine or CNC Turning Center are well suited to our Citizen Cincom B12's. Short parts such as washers and spacers are produced quickly with zero or little tooling costs compared to cam type machines. Parts that require milled flats, cross holes, keyways and slots are made in one operation rather than two or three. This saves our customers money and helps us keep our competitive advantage. MEQUON, WI Hy-Tech Tool & Manufacturing, Inc. which specializes in precision small diameter turning, short or long runs has achieved ISO 9000:2001 registration on July 28th 2003 after passing an extensive audit by Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc. (PJR). The company which has been in business since 1982 is located just north of Milwaukee in Ozaukee county. It's services include Swiss type and conventional CNC Turning and Milling. Major customers include Federal Mogul and GE Medical. According to President Kenneth Wachholz, Hy-Tech sought ISO 9000:2001 registration to maintain it's commitment to quality and remain competitive. ISO 9000:2001 registration took just under a year to complete. "We saw this as an opportunity to improve our overall method of managing the company rather than just a stand alone quality system. We have received very favorable reactions from current and future customers." It took one PJR auditor one day to audit Hy-Tech's facility.
