HOW TO JOIN I.G.S.W.:

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS INCLUDE:

* Monthly meetings featuring discussions on Irish genealogical research, history and culture.

* Personal help with genealogy.

* A quarterly publication, "The Irish Genealogical Quarterly".

* An annual membership listing showing surnames being researched by your fellow members.

* A book sales table of recommended research publications and genealogical aids.

* Group trips to various genealogical research facilities.

* Seminars on Irish research conducted in coordination with other genealogical societies throughout the state.

* The opportunity to actively participate in Irish Fest every August.

DUES: Membership dues are $20 for a family or $15 for an individual. Each membership includes one subscription to "The Irish Genealogical Quarterly" and one vote for each adult member. The Membership year runs from March 1st until February 28(9)th of the following year. Those joining in the middle of a membership year receive the back issues of the Quarterly for that year.

THE IRISH GENEALOGICAL QUARTERLY: The I.G.S.W. Quarterly has been widely acclaimed for its excellence.

Past issues have included articles on: Genealogy Tips for the Beginner;  an article on Dracula;
a discussion of Irish American contributions to the American economy and culture; an article on Irish placenames, their origin and meaning in English, as well as an article on the Irish and English meaning of selected Irish surnames.

The Editor of the Quarterly is Dr. William P. Maher. Contributions are welcomed.
