Menu Reference

Here is a brief description of each menu item found in .INI Master.

File | New
Creates a new document.
If you already have two documents open, New is dimmed, and cannot be chosen.

File | Open
Opens an .INI File.
If you already have two documents open, Open is dimmed, and cannot be chosen.

File | Save
Saves the changes to the document you have been working on.
When you choose Save, the document remains open so you can continue working on it.

File | Save As
Saves a new or existing document. You can name a new document or save an existing document under a new name. The original document remains unchanged.
When you choose Save As, the document remains open so you can continue working on it.

File | Save All
Saves the changes to the documents you have been working on. (You can work on up to two documents at one time.)
When you choose Save All, the documents remain open so you can continue working on them.

File | Close
Closes the document you have been working on.
If there are changes that have not been saved, you will be asked if you would like to save them.

File | Close All
Closes the documents you have been working on. (You can work on up to two documents at one time.)
If there are changes that have not been saved, you will be asked if you would like to save them.

File | Print
Prints the document you have been working on.
You can specify how many copies to print and whether or not they are collated, which pages to print, and the printing quality.

File | Exit
Closes the documents you have been working on (if any) and quits .INI Master.
If there are changes that have not been saved, you will be asked if you would like to save them.

Edit | Undo
Undoes your last typing or editing action.
If the last action has already been undone, the Edit menu does not display the Undo command. The name of the Undo command reflects your last action. For example, if your last action was editing, the Edit menu displays Undo Keyboard Edits.

Edit | Redo
Redoes the action that you just undid.. (See Edit | Undo.)
If you did not just undo an action, or if you have already redone the last undone action, the Edit menu does not display the Redo command. The name of the Redo command reflects the action that was undone. For example, if the action that was undone was editing, the Edit menu displays Redo Keyboard Edits.

Edit | Cut
Deletes text from a document and places it onto the Clipboard, replacing the previous Clipboard contents.

Edit | Copy
Copies text from a document onto the Clipboard, leaving the original intact and replacing the previous Clipboard contents.

Edit | Paste
Pastes a copy of the Clipboard contents at the insertion point or replaces selected text in a document.

Edit | Delete
Deletes selected text from a document, but does not place the text onto the Clipboard.
Use Delete when you want to delete text from the current .INI Master document but you have text on the Clipboard that you want to keep.

Edit | Select All
Selects all the text in a document at once.
You can copy the selected text onto the Clipboard, delete it, or perform other editing actions.

Find | Find
Searches for text in a document.
You can match case and whole words in the search.

Find | Repeat Last Find
Repeats the last search without opening the Find dialog box.

Find | Replace
Searches for and changes text.
You can match case and whole words in the search.

Register | How to Register .INI Master
Displays instructions for registering .INI Master.
The Register menu does not appear on registered copies of .INI Master. Registered owners have access to the How to Register .INI Master command through the Help | Registration menu.

Register | Enter Serial Number
Allows you to enter your registration serial number and personalize your copy of .INI Master.
The Register menu does not appear on registered copies of .INI Master. Registered owners have access to the Enter Serial Number command through the Help | Registration menu.

Window | Cascade
Arranges the document windows (if any) in an overlapping pattern.

Window | Tile Horizontal
Sizes the document windows (if any) to fill up the .INI Master client area with one document above the other, and without overlapping.

Window | Tile Vertical
Sizes the document windows (if any) to fill up the .INI Master client area with one document to the left of the other, and without overlapping.

Window | Arrange Icons
Arranges the minimized document icons (if any).

Window | Refresh Highlights
Re-displays highlighting after it has been removed by editing.

Help | Contents
Displays the contents page of .INI Master's online help.

Help | Search for Help on
Displays a search dialog box for finding specific topics in .INI Master's online help.

Help | How to Use Help
Displays information on how to use the online help system.

Help | Registration | How to Register .INI Master
Displays instructions for registering .INI Master.
The Help | Registration menu appears only on registered copies of .INI Master. Users of non-registered copies of .INI Master can access the How to Register .INI Master command through the Registration menu.

Help | Registration | Enter Serial Number
Allows you to enter your registration serial number and personalize your copy of .INI Master.
