Chickory Wood Products offers a line of handmade wooden toys for the pleasure of both children and adults. CWP makes trucks, trains, airplanes, and other fine crafts and wood products.
We started in 1983 to make wooden toys for our own children, and have been making them available to the public ever since their friends saw the first ones. Highly prized as both toys and collectable items, we offer only a limited quantity every year.
Constructed of only hardwood, we use
many different types of wood. Cherry, Black Walnut, Maple, Oak,
Hickory, and
many others are in our finely crafted items. If a different color is
warranted, we use a different wood, we do not stain any of the woods we
use. Because we use only hardwoods in the construction of our toys,
they are very durable, and will be around for generations of children
to play with.
All our toys are completely finished
and varnished. Many have little people or removable parts. Others have
parts
that swivel, raise and lower, or slide.
You will not find duplicates of these
toys anywhere because they are all individually built. Made from our
own designs, they are only available from Chickory Wood Products.
You're not going to see
these in any discount house, we have been selling these toys through a
few
select crafts shows and word of mouth.
