JOHN MUIR SHELTER BUILDING

In celebration of National Trails Day, the Shelter Building at the John Muir trailhead was dedicated today in a special ceremony. Mike Bettinger, LaGrange General Store, cooked-out on the new grill, donated by the DNR. Thanks to all the people who made this event a huge success.

We are very excited to anounce that the Shetler Building at the John Muir trailhead is finished. The building gives us a place to store tools and supplies for trail maintenance and will also be used to hold a variety of educational and safety classes.
Special thanks to the shelter sponsors: The Fall Color Festival and it's sponsors, Trek Bicycle Corporation, The Milwaukee Metro Mountain Bikers (a chapter of the WORBA), Wheel&Sprocket and the LaGrange General Store. for there monitory donations and all the volunteers who built the shelter.
