"I've been a huge Pepsiman fan since late 97 when Deth showed me the commercials! Back in March, I was able to get a rare Pepsiman action figure in NY that holds up his hand and changes from normal head to "Shwaaa" head when you squeeze his legs together (IE: Superfriends figure). The Box is great, it sayes he comes with "Famous Shwaaa Action!" Only cost me 40 bucks, but I bet the Japanese only hafta pay half that...... "
"During July 4th weekend, Deth's friend Derek brought his Pepsiman
Playstation game over! It's great but really hard!! Every level is
like a big commercial where Pepsiman must dodge obsticles to bring
refreshment to a bunch of thursty people, then something horrable will
chase him away and if you don't get squished by it, you can advance to
the next level, where something even worse happens to him every time.
It you beat the game in record time, you can play as "Classic Pepsiman"
in his old outfit!!!"

"One of the best japanese ad creations!!! i luv japanese ads!. And
yeah, there really is a pepsiman song... sounds like a 70's Deep
Purple-ish rock tune... it just goes dah-dah-dadada dah-dah-dadada..
"PEPSIMAN!!!". He (Pepsi Man) looks like a metallic spideman -
but no eyes, no nose! actually he used to be silver+red, but now the
color scheme has become silver+blue!!!"

"PepsiMan was created as a funny superhero pitchman for Pepsi in Japan.
Some people will be melting in the heat or something and he'll come up
and... breathe on them... and they'll suddenly have Pepsi and be OK but he
falls down or gets hit by a stray bullet or something. The commercials are
pretty funny and the promotions even more so. Before the Star Wars thing,
they had a deal where if you bought a bottle of Pepsi you got a little
PepsiMan bottle top. He was on top spelling out
the
letters with his body.
(Like a cheerleader.) They had a second series where he was posing in
these totally ludicrous poses with french fries or fried chicken and such.
Really sharp marketing but not exported I guess."
