When a was a child in catechism class; I thought that we were bought into this world to conscious of something. I didn't know what , but I thought I was right. When I read Meher Baba's "Discourse" I came across this....
An important question is, "Why should manifested life at different stages of evolution emerge out of the Absolute Reality which is infinite?" The answer is that manifested life arises out of the impetus in the Absolute to become conscious of itself.
That was it!! We arise out of the Absolute Reality which is Infinite so "it" can become conscious of itself. If the many Universes were not there, the Absolute Reality which is Infinite would not be conscious of itself. And we are it (Absolute Reality). We wouldn't be fussing around with our lives; we bicker about ideology, religion, colonialism, etc. and then we go to war for it. Everything is all right. We don't have to do anything but stop thinking. Absolute Reality which is Infinite is the TAO.
