You didn't solve my problems, but at least I got a laugh out of it. What if the guy just started a new, very stressful job and says, "I just can't handle a relationship right now."? After dating him for several months, of course. A load of bull, right?
You are exactly right. A major load of bull. You're better off without him. I can't think of any job that would have so much stress as to be noticeable when compared to the amount of stress in a relationship. Maybe postal employees, but they rarely have relationships with anyone anyway. They mostly keep to themselves.
