The Milwaukee Community Service Corps is
currently looking to fill two available positions.

RECRUITMENT/VOCATIONAL COORDINATOR

Duties include: recruiting, screening, and selecting participants for MCSC's Program, performing applicant intake, monitoring progress of participants, seeking and coordinating vocational training for participants, providing onsite and in-classroom vocational instruction, facilitating post-corps educational and career placements, maintaining individual records and files on corpsmember vocational and professional development, and reporting information to funders and contractors on vocational development.

Requirements include: Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience in vocational training; at least 2 years experience in recruitment and/or vocational field; broad-based knowledge of construction, conservation, and urban restoration; experience working with youth in educational or mentoring setting; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to facilitate workshops and group activities; ability to interact with varied and diverse audiences; proficiency with tools and materials associated with general construction (power saw, drill, hammer, etc.); and a valid Wisconsin Driver's License.

Preferred skills include: commitment to working with youth in a culturally diverse environment; computer competency in Windows-based applications; superior organizational skills; problem solving skills; ability to trouble-shoot; and the ability to work independently and part of a team.

ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

Duties include: providing support to the executive director in the form of grant writing & monitoring, fund development, MIS, technology development, liaison to Board of Directors, general administration, and office staff supervision.

Requirements include: a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, strong verbal and written communication skills, and comfort working in a culturally diverse setting. Preferred qualities include experience working in a non-profit setting, previous grant writing/fundraising experience, experience with computer troubleshooting, and experience working with young people in an educational/work training environment.
