striving to make government more effective, open and accessible to all
citizens. Therefore, Milwaukee County is very interested in receiving any
citizen and employee concerns regarding fraud, waste, inefficiencies and
abuses within County government operations.
You do not need to
provide your name to submit your concerns. However, be advised that your
Internet address will be submitted to us if you use e-mail.

If you are writing,
faxing or e-mailing your concerns, please follow these instructions
carefully:
- Describe your concern.
Provide the names of all individuals involved, including any other
witnesses. Give the dates and times the incident(s) occurred and where
it happened. State whether there is any supporting documentation such as
birth dates, license plate numbers, social security numbers, addresses,
invoice numbers, check numbers or other document numbers. (Copies of the
supporting documentation can be sent to Milwaukee County Department of
Audit Hotline, see address below).
- For emails, please keep a
record of the date and time you are sending your communication. These
two items will serve as your identification codes if you choose to
follow up on any concerns reported to the Hotline.
- Please call our Hotline
number 93-FRAUD (933-7283) two weeks after reporting your concern(s).
Often after we start our investigation, questions arise or further
clarification is necessary to continue the investigation. Therefore, it
is extremely important for you to contact the Hotline after the initial
contact.
