Beverly De Weese is the permanent leader of the Cloak and Clue Society. Her abilities to lead the group are legendary, whether she is book talking her favorite books, highlighting her favorite authors, or organizing the Society.
Just prior to the formation of The Cloak and Clue Society, Bev was a part of a mystery book discussion group that met at Gary Warren Niebuhr's house. Here is a picture from 1980 of Bev, her husband Gene, Susan Schwartz and Gary.
Bev was the Fan Guest of Honor at Bouchercon'99, the World Mystery Convention.
Bev was program co-chair for Bouchercon'99, the World Mystery Convention and program chair for Eyecon'95.
Bev recently retired from her position as the Deputy City Librarian for the City Of Milwaukee Public Library.
