Van Dyke, Inc.Adoption
Assistance
Welcome
to Van Dyke, Inc.'s Adoption Assistance Thank
you for visiting our web site. Our agency is licensed in the States of Wisconsin,
(non-expiring license) and Minnesota. For the past ten years the goal of our
agency was to help orphaned Romanian children to be joined with families in the
United States. We have placed over 250 children. We are pleased to announce two new
programs (Ukraine and Lithuania) to couples and singles who want to bring a
child into their lives. I have just returned from a trip to Ukraine, Lithuania and Romania. I have visited with the Adoption Authorities in all three countries and I have visited some orphanages too. Click here to read some observation from my trip. Our agency consistently achieves these goals for families and children. Years of experience has shown that adoption, from Eastern Europe, can be very rewarding and takes place in a shorter amount of time relative to adoption processes in general. We have watched adopted children grow up and develop beautifully in loving American families. The youngest children arriving through our programs are between six months and three years old and we can place children up to the age of twelve. Applicants who qualify for our program and for a young child need to be open to accepting a child in this age range. Enclosed is information about the necessary paperwork and requisite fees for our international adoption programs.
Briefly, these are the procedures for our programs: Once applicants have read the enclosed information and are considering to
further pursue an adoption through Van Dyke, Inc., they request application
forms and an agreement. When the
application forms (one for each spouse) are received in our office, they are
reviewed by our social work staff. A
social worker contacts the applicants and arranges for an informational
interview. If it is determined that
it is in the best interest of a prospective child and prospective adoptive
parent(s), we guide you through the paperwork processes, including the home
study, home study update or home study review.
Once the adoption dossier is completed, and the INS
approval is secured (we can only work with Wisconsin and Minnesota residents in
completing the home study; out of state couples must contact a local licensed
adoption agency in their state), we forward the file to our office or attorney
in Eastern Europe. For a general outline of what happens in the following months after the
adoption dossiers are submitted to the foreign country and the requisite
paperwork for each program click on "New Program."
Click on "General Comments" to learn how you can choose one or more programs. For further information and questions about our programs please contact our office.
Sincerely,
Mirela Van Dyke Executive Director
