The Coulee Kennel Club, Inc. located in La Crosse, WI is currently celebrating its 50th year. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of purebred dogs. Our members have ties to local animal organizations (Coulee Region Humane Society, Vernon County Humane Society, Blackhawk Retriever Club, and the La Crosse, Trempealeau (WI) & Houston (MN) County 4H Dog Projects. We are an organization of dog lovers whose interests include companion animals, breeding, conformation, field trialing, schutzhund, obedience, agility, tracking, and herding tests. Though small in numbers the club members maintain a wide range of interests! The Coulee Kennel Club is a member club of the American Kennel Club (AKC). As part of our annual responsibilities of membership, the Coulee Kennel Club holds 2 back- to- back shows in the La Crosse, WI area during the first weekend in August. In addition we hold a variety of other events throughout the year: agility trials, dog exhibits, social get-togethers, etc. For further dog related Information you may want to see these links. You are invited to attend our meetings, held on the fourth Tuesday of every month (except December) at 7:00 or 7:30 PM. Meetings are held at the Family Dog Center on French Island in La Crosse. E-mail us for updated information. |
