I talked myself out of retiring when we received a $50.00 off coupon to join the new league at Logger's Park in Richfield.
The Monday Night League was to be an over 35 league. It turned out not to be that, but we won the league anyway with a 12-3 regular season record. We also won the post season tournament to finish with a 14-3 overall record. After a mediocre 5-3 start to the season, we reeled off 9 consecutive victories. Mose led the way playing shortstop and leading the team in batting. Leroy hit the first ever home run at Logger's Park - a majestic dinger over the left field fence in 40 degree weather last April. We had several close victories, but good teams win closes games, right?
